About The Event
Neonatal mortality remains a critical health challenge in Nigeria, with an alarming 41 deaths per 1,000 live births (NDHS, 2023). Preventable causes such as perinatal asphyxia, prematurity, infections, and low birth weight complications continue to claim thousands of newborn lives, especially in underserved communities.
In response to this crisis, the Nigerian Society of Neonatal Medicine (NISONM) is organizing its 17th Annual General & Scientific Conference to address these challenges and drive actionable solutions.
